Long Description:
Cinder Flats is home to Ashfall Crossing, a small settlement built inside the remains of a pre-War geothermal research station. The station’s heat vents provide warmth, power, and clean water—making it a rare oasis in an otherwise dead region.
Once every few years, a brutal raider army known as The Black Ash Horde descends from the badlands, stripping settlements of supplies, tech, and people. Ashfall Crossing has survived by staying hidden—but this year, they’ve been discovered.
The settlement cannot flee. Instead, they hire wandering wastelanders—the PCs—to train them, fortify the town, and help them survive the coming assault.
