Short Description:
A fast-moving, fun, hands-on exercise for novice, aspiring, and skill-seeking Game Masters where you work together to design a dungeon adventure and take turns running it with expert feedback.
Long Description:
Do you plan on running a game for friends or want to be a Game Master at a convention? If you’re interested in honing your craft as a GM for any reason, this two-hour hands-on workshop is for you. You’ll collaborate with others to practice a “dungeon storming” technique that develops adventure design skills. Then you’ll learn about the “core loop” of GMing before you take turns in the GM’s chair to practice, with guidance and advice from a participant-coach who will play at your table. It gives you a chance to develop your flexibility, adaptiveness, and improvisational ability in an entertaining and enjoyable way as we celebrate the art of the GM together.
