Oligopoly simulates the interwoven relationship between the public and private sector in the world of business. As a business leader, your goal is to carve a niche within the complex global economy -- and profit from trade with other businesses and cities. As a city leader, your goal is to work with other players to balance your city's interests vs those of the entire nation. Oligopoly is a semi-cooperative, engine-building & real-time trading game that thrusts 13-52 players into the dynamic role of civic cooperation. The engine building elements resemble Furnace and Race for the Galaxy but at a large scale, with trading phases of organized chaos similar to Pit and NSDM (The National Security Decision Making Game).
