Stardate 6872.2: The USS Ranger and Kenyon are currently orbiting Torvus IV to survey newly discovered ruins with the Ranger's crew running safety and security of the mission.
Long Description:
Stardate 6872.2: The USS Ranger and the science vessel USS Kenyon are in orbit around Torvus IV to survey the newly discovered ruins of a long dead civilization. We have temporarily dubbed this civilization the “Torvans” and initial surveys suggest that they might have been on the brink of achieving warp flight before mysteriously going extinct.
While the Kenyon crew continue to survey the surface ruins, the Ranger’s crew will be scouting a freshly discovered burial necropolis to remove any safety concerns for the archeological teams. The passages are quite deep and have hidden deposits of toxic gases. However, thus far the mission has continued to proceed smoothly and it is my sincere hope that it will continue to do so.
