Long ago, the city of Vahr-Talos was a jewel of arcane enlightenment - At its heart stood the Grand Scriptorium: a hidden library carved into the bedrock, sealed away from the world to protect its most powerful secrets. Then came fire. A catastrophic volcanic eruption consumed the city in a single night, burying it beneath molten stone and silence. Vahr-Talos became a legend - its knowledge presumed lost, its secrets entombed in a crypt of flame-hardened earth. But now, centuries later, something stirs beneath the mountain. A deep tremor has opened a great chasm. The air smells of ink and scorched vellum. Whispers echo from the stone.
