Time Frame of Apprentice Tier and Higher Volunteering

I did not see any information regarding when potential duties begin. For instance, is there work available for an Apprentice on the Monday prior to the opening of the con all the way through to the end? Or are all volunteers strictly Thursday-Sunday?

Sorry, I somehow missed this post.
Typically Apprentices and Pages are not needed until the Wednesday of the Con week at the earliest.
Most work Thursday-Sunday.
