I only mention this because there are a lot of events that are planning to use Tabletop Simulator, and I believe it runs on Bezerk Games' servers (they are the developers).  It may be worth reaching out to them and warning them if Gen Con hasn't yet?  Just so they can prepare for more stress on the servers?

Good question! I've been trying to contact Bezerk Games for months now to bulk buy some Simulator licenses for a local online convention. Someone let me know if anyone gets ahold of them please...
