Bouba Kiki is a team communication game based on the psychological Bouba Kiki Effect, which is a mental association between speech sounds and visual shapes. Most narrowly, it is the tendency for people, when presented with the nonsense words bouba and kiki, to associate bouba with a rounded shape and kiki with a spiky shape. The cards in Bouba Kiki display a nonsense word on one side, and a simple illustration on the other. The players will play through 1 of 8 communication based scenarios, each with 5 stages of ever-increasing difficulty. The challenge is for the players to agree on the association between a word and an image. You may be babies speaking gibberish, tribes of cave people, or humans talking to aliens.
