Short Description:
Learn how to paint any colour of skin tone realistically on a miniature. All you need is to know three colours: the skin colour, the light colour, and the character's blood.
Long Description:
Do you struggle with painting convincing skin on your miniatures? Have you perhaps been frustrated with the limitations of 'flesh colour' paints? Well, if you are comfortable with highlighting and shading, there are some simple rules to follow to make skin colours feel much more vibrant and alive. Ben Carver from Primal Poodle Painting has 20 years of experience painting miniature figures, and is here to share some of what he wishes he knew earlier. We will cover how to construct a three-layered skin tone that can be applied to any sort of creature – and any sort of ambient light. Each student will be given a miniature to practice on, and paints will be provided as well. Please bring your own brush(es), as I will not have enough for everyone.
