According to the latest e-mail "Event Team Application Notification": "You will be contacted by Stafforward to fill out your pre-employment paperwork. Since the convention is in Indiana you will be required to file a tax return in that state."
How is the badge reimbursement being treated for income tax purposes (Form W-2, 1099-Misc)? Will we technically be employees of Stafforward during the convention?
We will actually be employed by staff forwrd with a check coming from them in September to cover the $10 per hour we're getting paid. I think the Badge reimbursements are only for the higher level volunteers... Apprentices and above. Everybody else needs a badge I believe.
