Hotel charges reservation vs real charge

I was going over my last year reservation at the Embassy to compare prices.
When I find my old gen con reservation email it said $321/night. When I look at the Bill I received from Embassy it was 361 a night.  Is this expected?
Maybe I got screwed last year and didn't realize it until it was much to late (Gen Con is exhausting lol)

Of course none of the numbers from the house portal reflect the outrageous taxes on rooms in Indy.

The occupancy tax is 10% plus Indiana sales tax is 7%. That would have been $54.57 in taxes on your $321 room rate.

No the receipt clearly indicates a 361 room rate plus the two taxes you refer to. So this wasn't 321 plus taxes it was 361 plus taxes.

Only thing I can think of is they "upgraded" you to a different room.

There's currently a $44/day charge for parking; did you have a car with you for some reason?
