Starfinder Kiosk...
Posted by trace_sl

If you missed it...

Announcing more ways to get #StarfinderRPG at #GenCon50!

Keep your eyes open for our Starfinder Grab-and-Go kiosk on the second floor at the top of the escalators.

It’s conveniently located between the skybridge to the Westin and the Sagamore Ballroom.

This credit card only kiosk will be selling all the products in the Starfinder initial launch (Core Rulebook, GM Screen, Character Folio, Combat Pad, Adventure Path #1, Core Rulebook Pawn Collection, and Basic Terrain and Basic Starfield Flip-Mats).

Please note, if you’re looking to pick up your Starfinder subscription, you’ll need to head to our booth in the Exhibit Hall (#103)

That is a great location!  Because it is right next door is the Sagamore Ballroom where the Starfinder games will be running during the convention.  Don't have to mess with the dealer room!

Glad to hear it. I wasn't looking forward to the line for Starfinder in the dealer hall.

Happy to see they are thinking about adding some convenience for the Paizo fans (and managing the line at their large booth) this  year.  While I'm not in the market for this product I'd be interested to see if this leads to other "pop up" formats being added by other vendors in the future (most of the Goodman Games stuff will be in one room, why not have a kiosk in there for those who need to pick up a core book or some dice?).

Staffing and the ROI on space will definitely have an impact (Paizo has the staff and being a partner I'd hope they got a deal on the space) on how feasible this is for other, smaller companies.

Apparently there will be some Magic vendors outside the exhibit hall and with the Magic players (hall C, I think).

Not real sure.  60$ for rule book, 20$ for GM Screen, 10$ for Character Folio, 25$ for Pawn, 25$ for Combat Pad, 16$ for Adventure, 15$ for Flip Map Basic, & 20$ for Flip Map Star Field

So, 191$ for everything.  Unless they run a deal but don't think they will charge less than what they are selling the subscription service for.
