Family Fun Day Badges, buy without knowing who will use them?

I'm getting a Family Fun Day 4-pack for Sunday.  Two or three of them are spoken for.  However, I'm still working on finding someone for the rest.  If I buy them now, can I just put "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" as the badge names?  Is there any official policy for having a real name on your badge?

I think each badge has to have a name.
