Buses in Indy?

Got a house this year. It's on College Road just a little north of the fairgrounds so the Red Main Line goes directly from our local stop to the stop by the convention center.

Can anyone local tell me what the buses are like in Indy? I suspect this is a college line from the colleges to downtown. Having this as an option will help my party of 4/5 not all have to rush to the convention center at the same time in the morning.

Otherwise, we might do a drive/dropoff/park scenario.

ALSO, can someone tell me the Indiana State Fair hours? We may leave the con early on Sunday to catch the state fair.
