If I check 'another ticket for me' but don't check 'myself' for an event ticket, will the 'another ticket for me' block that time slot for me? I'm not trying to double book myself in that time slot, but rather trying to get a ticket for a friend that doesn't have a badge yet, so he can attend the event with our mutual friends.

I’m not 100% certain, but I don’t think you can get “another ticket for me” without also getting one for yourself.

"Another ticket for myself" is just a ticket for yourself. There's nothing special about it, so it will block out your schedule like any other ticket.
