I'm surprised no one has mentioned Kuma's, about 5 mins from the convention center driving but can easily get there on the scooters/bikes as well. Fantastic burgers and beer.
The Eagle is always an excellent spot for good fried chicken. Once you're fed, visit 16-bit bar roughly across the street for a good retro gaming and hang out place
