If you're driving from the west on I-70 East, don't worry about the downtown construction. You'll exit before you get to it.

It's all in the title. If you're from western Indiana, Central Illinois, etc. and are driving in on I-70 East, then you won't have to get near the I-70/I-65 construction. Take either the West St. exit, or the Illinois St./Meridian St. exits. 

The first is good for the JW Marriott, Fairfield, Staybridge, Springhill, and Courtyard hotels. The second is good for pretty much any of the other hotels north, northeast and east of the Convention Center. 

That's it. You won't have to deal with it.
