I get that it's a frustrating experience, and it's fine to vent; I truly wish everyone could have the room they wanted, it's just not possible.
Typically the two rates are self parking and valet parking rates. Valet parking usually has in / out privlidges as well.
The FAQ on the housing page is somewhat unclear on the process of modifying an existing reservation.
In order to modify an existing reservation,"... log into your Gen Con account, visit your My Housing page, and click the View Reservation link for the reservation you'd like to change. "
What happens at that point? Does the existing reservation stay until the new one is completed? Is the only way to view what is available to attempt to modify an existing reservation?
This isn't necessarily a housing question, but more about the forum on housing trades. If someone posts a "Looking For" thread, can they bump their own thread, and if so, how often? Otherwise, their post gets buried very quickly.

Total reservations you can make for the following badge holders: 1 Reservations remaining for the following badge holders: 0
I haven't made any reservations and the "Go to Housing Portal" button is active...I can use it. Does the above mean that I'm not able to make a reservation?
For full background, a friend of mine did make reservations (Airport area), and I figured I'd check back periodically to see if something Downtown opens up. He added my email as an additional occupant of the room. Did that somehow eat up my reservation slot?

Does it show a confirmation code or access code? If it shows an access code, you should still be able to make a reservation.

What is the process of getting a room reservation from another attendee? I have someone whom has an extra downtown room that they are going to trade to me, but I have no idea how to go about switching card info and the like in order to get the room in my name. Any direction on how to accomplish this would be very helpful.
Looking at my reservation acknowledgement, I see my credit card and my billing address, but my wife's name as the name on the card. It's not. Will we have a problem? if so, what's the best way to fix without losing the reservation?
